Customer Question

I have an Epsom 3170 scanner, and have recently changed to a newer computer. The scanner works well in making odfs from Acrobat. I used to have software that was good for scanning photographs, but it does not seem to be present now. What is missing?
JA: What is the machine's exact make and model? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Epsom 3170 , perhaps 10 years old
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Computer is PC, Dell Optiplex 990, Windows 10
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Photo scanning has not been possible since this computer was installed some months ago. Perhaps a wrong driver was used, or extra software is needed?
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: It has been a great scanner- I just wish I had the original software, which provided for scanning 35 mm slides at various resolutions among other options.... thanks
