My Epson 3880 changes to photo paper when I have plain or Matte paper, and changes to Matte when I want Photo black for photo paper,
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Epson is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: 3880 about 2 yr old
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Mac
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: It's been an issue for about 4 months, but at least I was able to print on Matte paper. Now it says "Paper Error" with Matte or Photo paper and will only print on plain paper.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I've tried shuting down my printer and Mac and restart, but no help.
