I have an office's J3600 printer and I cannot get to go on.

I have an office's J3600 printer and I cannot get to go on. I have checked plug ins and that seems to be okay. When I unplug the cord from the black box and plug back in I hear a click, but when I push the on button "nothing". Do I need to replace that part or what. Please help.
