Hello! Thank you for choosing Just Answer! My name is ***** ***** I will be assisting you with your issue today.
Give me just a moment to research that error message and we will get started, okay?
It seems in the process of upgrading to Windows 10, the software for your printer may have become corrupted. This would require an uninstall and reinstall of the software. Are you comfortable doing this yourself with instruction from me?
You would need to go to the following website.
It isn't the drivers that are throwing this error - it is the Toolbox that needs to be reinstalled. It is the third option down from the software and driver download.
A reboot is recommended after installing drivers, yes.
Let me do a little more research. Give me just a moment.
So far I did confirm that it is a Canon dll file. Let me dig a bit further.
What may need to happen is to completely uninstall all of your Canon files and delete the printer from Devices and Printers in Control Panel. Then, restart the PC and proceed to do a fresh install of the software as if it is a new printer.
It looks like you are not alone in this matter and that seems to be what others did to resolve it. That's what I would do, personally, on my own computer.
Please let me know if it works! I'll try to research a little further in the meantime.
