Epson wf2540 when trying to print or copy it feeds a sheet

Epson wf2540 when trying to print or copy it feeds a sheet 3/4 out then gives "paper out message reload paper" but there is paper . No jam ,nothing in the feed path.
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Epson is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: Around 3 or 4 years
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Mac but also doesn't work copying
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Nothing happened just started with this problem, had the same problem with last epson of the same type
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: well what's this cost.
