Printer message says "cartridge installed incorrectly or cartridge is incompatible
JA: What is the exact make and model of your printer? And what kind of cartridges are you using?
Customer: hp officejet Pro 8600 using hp951 yellow, magenta, and cyan. Also Black
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: pc windows 7
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I just came to use the computer and went to print and got the message. The printer had been working on last visit to computer. The message now says "problem with the printer or ink system
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I have taken out all the cartridges, cleaned them as wekk as removed the printhead and reinstalled it. No change

First, let's try to reset the printer error.

Remove all ink cartridges from the printer and close the cover.

Then unplug the power cable from the printer for 10 minutes.

Then plug back in and wait for the printer to ask for the ink cartridges.

Insert them in 1 by 1 until the error is gone.
