About three days ago my dell inspiron running Windows 10

Customer Question

About three days ago my dell inspiron running Windows 10 stopped printing to my HL2240D. the other computer on my network can print to it when it is a local printer there connected by usb and can print to the other printer connected to my computer.
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Dell is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: Inspiron 560 with a dual core L5800 operating at 3.2Ghz. It worked perfectly three days ago and both computers could print to it.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: the Dell with Windows 10 home 64 bit.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: About three or four days ago. Nothing that I can identify.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: The two problems I get are the printer is in an error state or the printer shows that it has received the document but is not actually printing.
