I have a new computer with Windows10 operating system. I can't get my HP ColorJet 4550 printer to work on the new computer. It worked fine with my old computer. I tried to install the drivers from the CD that came with the printer but I get a 'serious error' message.
JA: What's the make and model of your printer, and can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: It is an HP ColorJet 4550 printer and is quite old - 15 years?
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Brand new PC with Windows10 OS
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I bought the computer yesterday so the printer has never worked on it, but it worked fine on my old Windows XP computer.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No. Just how do I get the printer to work.
