I cannot dial i see fax#restricted i don't know how to fix
JA: What's the make/model number of your printer? How old is it?
Customer: Brother MFC7840W
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: I bought it in 2009
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: PC
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: since 2009 I used only three or four time

Hi there and welcome

To turn this off please do the following

  1. Press Menu, Fax, Dial Restrict, and Dial Pad.
  2. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Off
  3. Press OK.
  4. Press Stop/Exit.

<For touchscreen models>

  1. Press Menu.
  2. Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Fax. Press Fax.
  3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Dial Restrict.. Press Dial Restrict..
  4. Press Dial Pad.
  5. Press Off.
  6. Press Stop/Exit.

You should now be able to fax

i can dial now but another problem is when i fax, the result shows NG and out of memory
