So you just replaced the black cartridge, but it is still showing as black being low?Or you replaced it after that message came up?Are you using genuine/oem canon inks, or generic/refilled ones?

That is almost certainly the problem here. The refurb cartridges are specifically prohibited by canon (and every other printer company) because they have high failure rates - about 40% of the time they are faulty right out of the box. Extended use of them also damages your printer and wears out the printhead about 3 times faster than the oem ones.
As a next step here it will be necessary to replace the black cartridge, at a minimum, with a new one. Please use a new canon cartridge if possible, then let me know if anything changes.
