This model of printer, on Canon's website, has downloads listed for the
(which may or may not include scanning function)
and also a download for the
MP Navigator EX
program, which manages scanning.
Would you be willing to try an uninstall of what the disc installed for this printer, followed by a restart of your computer, followed by a re-install, from the Canon website, of the MP Driver and then the MP Navigator EX program? that has a chance of getting OCR scanning working. (Your disc probably does not have Windows 10 drivers on it. So it may not have installed properly, as to all the functions.)
If so, let me know, and I will give you exact instructions that will have the maximum likelihood, when followed, of producing a favorable result.
