the yellow light is flashing that I have a paper jam but the is no paper jam in the printer
JA: What's the make and model of the printer?
Customer: cannon 2520
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: pc with windows 10
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: about a week ago I did have a paper jam and I removed it but the light will not stop flashing
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?

Did you press black or color button after removing paper Jam and reloading papers properly ?

If the Front Tray is closed, open it. The printer resumes printing.

If the Front Feed Support is closed when printing from the Front Tray, open it and press the RESUME/CANCEL button on the printer.

If the error still remains when the Front Tray or the Front Feed Support is opened, paper may be jammed. Remove the jammed paper, reload paper in the printer, and then press the RESUME/CANCEL button.

the front tray is open and therer is no paper jammed because after I remove the original jam it sent another paper right through and then the light started flashing again

So it seems there is another Jam as light flashes 3 times when there in somewhere a paper jam or any of the two reasons mentioned above. Please try it once again.

Try reloading the paper to rear tray and press resume or cancel button.
