I bought an HP computer but I have an Epson wireless

I bought an HP computer but I have an Epson wireless printer. Windows 10 will not let me print anything.
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Epson is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: About 1 year old. Its a scanner too. XP422
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: HP slim desktop 410-010
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: a couple of months. ive been avoiding printing at home but have to fix this problem today
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: When I got into settings on my computer and print out a test page it works. When I try to print normally nothing happens but the windows 10 box pops mup and nothing happens

I have the instruction manual. It says installation of the software should happen automatically. It did not happen
