I have a Canon Pixma MG3550. The power and orange error

Customer Question

Hi - I have a Canon Pixma MG3550. The green power and orange error lights are flashing on and off - 2 flashes. Any idea what could be going wrong? I've cleaned the printer heads and it hasn't made a difference, and I can't see any paper jam. Stuck! Thanks for your help....
JA: Has your Canon done this before? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: No, this is the first time. The printer's about 2 years old I think
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: It's an HP Chromebook, so running Chrome
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: It happened the other day and I haven't been able to use the printer since. there was a paper jam just before, but I got that resolved.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Nope, that's everything I think!

The error indicates to reload paper to the Rear Tray and press the RESUME/CANCEL button.

Expert:  WesPCDr replied 7 months ago.

The paper does not feed in the Rear Tray properly. Try inserting more paper or reinserting it.
