I have a Workforce J475DW. Am changing the cartridges but

I have a Workforce J475DW. Am changing the cartridges but when putting in the yellow cartridge I continue getting a "cannot detect" message. Followed the printer's directions several times to no avail.
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact make and model of your machine?
Customer: MFC-J475DW worksmart series
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: A iMac OS X El Capitan, version 10.11.6. However am not connected at the moment until I can get the printer to recognize the new yellow cartridge
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Since 3 days ago. I took out the used cartridge and replaced it with the new one (LC103)
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Yes, how to get the printer to detect the new cartridge. Thank you
