Can't scan wirelessly, canon mg5200, windows 10, a while.

JA: What is the machine's exact make and model? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: canon mg5200
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: windows 10
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: a while. just tried scanning with mpnavigator
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I get error 5,145,55

Can you please remove the power to the printer (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the printer, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

No difference. I can print but not scan.

ok, The software may be looking for a USB scanner. Go to the settings of MP Navigator, under the General tab, and confirm that the product name has "(wireless)" at the end.

ok, can you make a copy on the printer itself?

Can you remove the power to your wifi router, the printer and power off your computer

then wait 10 minutes

Power on the wifi router and wait 5 minutes

power on the printer, then you computer and try to scan

Can you click start, type in

devices and click on devices and printers

then right click on the printer and select remove.

Then restart the computer

Go back to devices and printers, click on Add printer, add the printer and tell me if it now functions correctly please.

Did that and still getting the same error. I also uninstalled mp navigator and reinstalled that but no dice.

uninstall it

Then connect it via USB cable instead and install it.

Make sure you can print.

Then try to scan via the cable
