Were you signed in to your gmail account before you started this proceure?
That is probably the problem. Can you delete this printer from Cloud Print? Then we will start over.
You have to go back out of the print screen and back into the manage screen.
The instructions that I got were to sign in to Cloud Print. I did not tell you that, because I did not see where to sign in. If you see a place to sign in to Google Cloud Print, please do it. If not, sign in on the browser home page.
If you cannot delete the printer now, that is okay. We can do it later. Just sign in and go to Menu > Settings > Advanced Settings and select Cloud Print. Follow the prompts to complete the process, as before. Then try to print something, or print a test page.

Okay. It takes hours to get something right the first time. I do not have ChromeBook, so i cannot see exactly what you are seeing. But I have my printer connected to my Windows 10 computer using the Chrome browser, and I get errors unless I am logged in on Google Chrome.
I understand your frustration, since you have been at this for so long. However, if you will just try a little longer, it may payoff with success.
Pease restart your ChromeBook and sign in. Connect to the internet. Then repeat the CloudPrint procedure. That should correct the errors that you have been getting.
