I'm sorry about the issue. What's the model of your printer/scanner?
Is printing currently working fine?
Was scanning working fine previously with this printer/scanner and this computer? When did this issue first occur?
Is the printer/scanner connected to the computer with a USB cable? Or is the connection wireless?
If you open the Image Capture application (and/or the device's scan application) on your computer, does it let you scan with it?
