We have a DCP-7060D that we use as a stand alone copier. We just changed the toner cartridge but the machine won't acknowledge the cartridge.
JA: What is the exact make and model of your printer? And what kind of cartridges are you using?
Customer: It's a Brother DCP-7060D and the cartridge is Premium Compatible TN450/2220/2225
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: It's not connected to a computer. We use it solely as a desktop copier.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Just happened this morning. Making copies. It said to change the cartridge, so we did.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No, that's all there is to tell.

It's a couple years old. Yes, we've have some thunderstorms this week. No we have not unplugged it, but have turned it off & back on.

Its a couple years old. The machine is not online & no I do not want to pay add'l $39

Thank you for that. On this one that I knwo so well.

You will need a new print head. That contains the sensor for the cartridge.

It easy to replace and I will help if you need me further no cost for that.

The new one comes with easy to understand instructions;-)

Te best thing to do is visit a Best Buy or Staples to order a new print head and that will solve this problem.
