About 5 years; no error message or other issues
Expert:  Michelle replied 2 months ago.

please remove the ink cartridges and turn off printer

unplug power cord

keep the ON button pressed for 10 secs

wait for 2mins

plug in power cord

turn on

reinsert ink

then try printing something and let me know

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Same; colors fine no black print.
Expert:  Michelle replied 2 months ago.

ok this problem seems to be related to the printhead

the printhead is not the ink cartridge

its that part that transfers ink from the cartridge to the printer

now either the ink has dried out inside or nozzles are clogged

as you mentioned that you have already tried automated cleaning, i suspect its the printhead

Expert:  Michelle replied 2 months ago.

you will have to get the printhead replaced. you may take a service estimate cost from any local repair store and may then decide whether you would like to get the part replaced or the printer
