I have a MX492 and need to scan a page to my computer. Need instructions please
JA: What is the machine's exact make and model? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Canon Mx492 - 6 mo ols
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I have not used this feature previously. Need to use it now
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?

Please, follow the instructions below to make the scan:
- Hold down the two following keys at the same time: Windows key and the letter R
- In the box that comes up, type: controL printers
- Click the Ok button.
- Right click the Canon printer icon and choose "Start a scan"

- Choose your values and click the Scan button.

Once that is done, you are all set; it will ask you where to save the scan.
