Turn off the printer
Open the cover
Turn on the printer
Wait for print carriage to start moving to the left and let it go past half way
Before print carriage reaches left hand side (but after going halfway across) shut the cover.
Leave the Printer turned on.

i cleaned the green part of the print head. Might I have damaged it doing so?
Expert:  Richard replied 2 months ago.

Thanks, ***** ***** error is a mainboard failure and we have now confirmed this was the issue. You would not have damaged the print head by cleaning it, this was not the problem

It is the internal mainboard that has faulted

I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the printer to have this replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.

I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.
