Brother MFC J870DW was taken for repairs as wasn't printing

hi , brother MFC J870DW was taken for repairs as wasn't printing after major jam. Got it and computer back, new one and still not printing. No paper at all coming and saying it's off line/
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Brother is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?

JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: WINDOWS
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: 2. then the NEC stopped working and took it to repairer
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: 3. then decided to buy new laptop. and tried to print something and had a major paper jam and had to open back. Then it printed only blank pages and took it and computer back to repairer.

I want to connect with wireless, tried both and neither working.the mobile netgear modem usually picks it up but its not now

ok, on the printer, go to Setup, Wireless and tell me if it indicates it is connected there to your wifi network please.

This is the name of your wireless network, so locate it in the list on the printer when it brings up the list of SSID's and choose it to connect

Then enter in the password ***** asked.

its saying no id station

ok, first do this then

  1. Press (Settings).
  2. Press All settings.
  3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Initial Setup.
  4. Press Initial Setup
  5. Press Station ID.
  6. Press Fax.
  7. Enter your fax number (up to 20 digits) on the Touchscreen, and then press OK.
  8. Press Name.
  9. Enter your name (up to 20 characters) using the Touchscreen, and then press OK.

Then try to connect again please
