Thank you. Are you able to open Control Panel on your computer?

Expert:  Viet - Printer Tech replied 8 months ago.

Please try the following:

  1. Disconnect the printer's USB cable from computer for now.
  2. Open Control Panel by right-clicking on the Start button (which is the windows logo icon located at bottom left of computer's screen), then click on Control Panel.
; (Or press at same time two keys Windows and R on keyboard, then type control then click OK, then the Control Panel window should open.)
  3. Open Hardware and Sound / Devices and Printers.
  4. There, right-click on the Canon printer and remove it for now and confirm. Make sure there is not any Canon item showing there for now.
  5. Make sure printer is powered on.
  6. Re-connect printer USB cable securely to both printer and computer.
  7. Wait a bit, and the printer should automatically be reinstalled.
  8. See if you can print form the computer now.
