Customer: pro 400 printer keep giving error message "close drro" we hae already gone thru a few steps, unplugging and removing cartridges no luck
JA: What is the exact make and model of your printer? And what kind of cartridges are you using?

JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC Windows 7
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?

Customer: well i started to try to eliminate a smudge that occurs at the corner of every printed page -- do i have to unscrew covers to get to the print head?

Hi there and welcome

Can you power off the printer

Then use a damp cloth and wipe down the edges of the door and the area where the door connects with the printer.

Once done, wait 10 minutes for it to dry, power on the printer and tell me if you still get the error please.

It is a door sensor or mainboard that has faulted. This is the only cause left
