My printer setting is now showing my PRINTER to be a NITRO

Customer Question

My printer setting is now showing my PRINTER to be a NITRO PDF creator (Pro 8). What happened to my Canon MP160, which has been my default printer for years? Printer currently will not copy email documents.

Hello John, and thank you for using this service.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. I will help you now.

Would you like for me to connect and fix this problem while you watch?

John,

I have sent you an offer for remote help. Are you able to accept?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
No, am confused about how this program works. Every time I click an acceptance, I am offered another help option, but with a new fee.
Do not understand what I was paying the original fee for the first time.

John,

Remote assistance is a premium service we offer for an additional fee. If you don't want remote service, I can continue to help you via Q&A , but it may be more difficult and take longer, because I won't be able to connect and actually fix it directly for you. Just let me know how you'd like to proceed. Thanks.

OK, for now, please help me resolve this without Remote assistance.

Please click start, and then control panel.

If you don't see control panel, please type 'Control Panel' while on your tile start screen. This will bring up the search bar at the side and one of the first options will be your Control Panel, with a small blue monitor for the icon.

Once you have the Control Panel open, follow these steps:

  1. Go to 'Devices and Printers' if you are viewing by Large icons (shown on the top right).
  2. You should see your office printers listed under 'Printers'. Please let me know if you see your Canon printer here.
