- Can you please click on the Apple logo / menu at the top, then click on About this Mac..., then tell me your OS X version, such as 10.6, 10.7, 10.8, 10.9, 10.10, 10.11, etc.?

- If needed, make sure the printer is powered on and connected to the computer
, then click on the Apple logo / menu at the top, then click on System Preferences, then click on Printers & Scanners (or Print & Fax)
, then click on the + (plus) button at bottom left and it should detect your printer, then select it and add it, then check printing.
