What version of OS X are you using on the other Macs its working ?
On the Air, go to System Preferences > Printers and Scanners. If you see the scanner there, then delete it by pressing the - button. Then download and install latest drivers on that Mac from the followings link

(Open Downloads folder and install both Downloads. It is important)
Then connect the scanner to different USB port of your Mac. Go to System Preferences > Printers and Scanners and add your scanner.
Then try to scan. Please let me know if that didn't work, so we can continue troubleshooting
Those are direct download links and working here. I checked again. Server stopped working means your ISP probably blocked that link.
