Hello, my brother all in one printer LC61 stopped printing so I changed the black even though it did not prompt me to change but it is still printing extremely light
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Brother is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: LC61, it's about 4 years
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Turning it on and off, changing the black

  1. Press the Ink or Ink Management key on the control panel.
  2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Test Print and press OK.
  3. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Print Quality and press OK.
  4. Press Color (Colour) Start. The machine begins printing the Print Quality Check Sheet.
  5. it will ask if the black quality is good select NO
  6. it will ask about the color quality you can say yes or no depending on how the sheet looked
  7. it will then ask if it should start cleaning say YES.

You can go through the procedure 2 or 3 times to decide if it is helping any based on the test sheets it prints before each cleaning.
