Hello, and Thank You for choosing JustAnswer.comMy name is ***** ***** I am reviewing your question now, please stand by for 1 or 2 minute for reply.
The Drum of the printer is a replaceable part, which means that it can wear out and need to be replaced.
Fortunately there is a way to check the LIFE of the DRUM.
Please look at the image below for instructions on how to check the drum life.
If it reports the drum needs to be replaced........well, theres the answer.
But if printer reports the drum is good, then you need to let me know.
is this a NEW printer?
When did you purchase it?
Oh....okay.....that explains the 100% drum then.....the servicing probably replaced the drum.....or sadi they did and only reset the drum life counter.
ow long ago was the service?
does it give you an error NUMBER along with the drum error message?
less than 30 days you have a warranty on the service you paid for.....do you still have the receipt for the service?
The Drum Error message refers to the drum unit needing to be cleaned.
See image below
I would like to know if your drum was replaced or just cleaned, when you had it serviced.
According to the USer Manual, the cleaning of the Drum Unit is fairly difficult....as you have to remove it from the printer.
If you are OKAY with doing that, I will give you the instructions???
