Printer Repair Questions? Ask IT Technicians for Answers ASAP
Howdy! My name is ***** ***** I will be the expert assisting you on this fine Saturday!
I understand that you are getting error 5100 on your Canon printer! I know you are probably frustrated about that, but give me just a moment to research the model and I will do whatever I can to provide a solution for you, okay?
This error usually indicates that there is something stuck in the printer and causing havoc.
Here are a few steps for you to try. You may have already done some of this, but that's okay. Sometimes repeating steps can help.
1. With a flashlight, please check the paper feed areas of the printer and verify that there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer that may be causing the error.
2. Look inside of the printer where the inks are located and ensure that there is no debris in there that may be causing the print head not to move freely.
3. Remove and all of the ink tanks in the printer and put them back in.
Let me know if ANY of this works. If it does not, then we will carry on!
Yes! I am sorry. Can you tell me if you have tried cleaning the encoder strip?
Yes it is! I am at a loss! Usually, those steps would resolve the issue.
I will tell you what. I am going to opt out and give another expert a go at this (at no extra cost to you). They may have more insight or can try some steps that I may not be aware of. How does that sound?
Also, if you don't receive an answer that helps your situation, then you don't have to pay.
