I have a Ricoh Aficio 201. I am trying to scan to computer without success.
JA: What is the machine's exact make and model? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Ricoh Aficio mp201 SPF
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: desk top PC and can print to Ricoh with no problem
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Ha I have not tried to scan for a long time
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I just want to scan documents to computer That is all

First download and install the latest scanner drivers from here --> http://support.ricoh.com/bb/pub_e/dr_ut_e/0001227/0001227144/V43302/z56988en.exe

Also install this --> http://support.ricoh.com/bb/pub_e/dr_ut_e/0001227/0001227967/V1024/z57199L11.exe

(Open and run the downloaded installer to install the drivers)

After installing them, go to Start > All Programs and select Windows Fax and Scan.

Does it recognize your scanner ?
