JA: Just to clarify, have you double-checked the code? And what is the exact make and model of your machine?

JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Turned off and back. Message still there. Says to contact support

Please follow the steps below and check the result. If the problem persists, after following each and every step then, unfortunately, you have to replace the printer, as it is new. Let me know, if you need any further help otherwise please remember to give a positive rating, as that is the only way, I am compensated for my time and effort.

Solution 1:

  • Unplug power supply
  • Wait 5 minutes
  • Plug back in.

Solution 1a (thanks to anonymous):

  • Turn the printer off
  • Open cover as if you want to change an ink cartridge.
  • Turn power on and close cover while initializing

Solution 1b:

  • Power off the printer
  • Press and hold power+cancel simultaneously
  • Hold on the power button and release cancel
  • Press cancel button 4 times,
  • Release both.

      Solution 2:

      • Check for no pieces of paper, no littles objetcs inside the printer.

      Solution 3:

      • Carefully clean the encoder strip.
      • It's located behind the carriage that runs all the way from right to left

      Solution 4:

      • Replace the scanner unit
