I have a Brother MFC-J6510DW. There is problem scanning

I have a Brother MFC-J6510DW. There is problem scanning documents to my laptop wirelessly. The meassage is "No connection". It will scan to a USB through "Scan to Media".
I can print from my laptop to the printer. One thought was that the router may be at fault. But that does not appear to be the case.
I would be grateful for any advice/suggestions.
