I have a message that says "the feature has been locked by your system administrator or the person who set up the printer". I am that person. I changed wireless. How do I unlock my HP6600 printer
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact make and model of your machine?
Customer: HP Officejet 6600
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I unplugged everything and restarted it.

Customer: I do not have a cable to connect it to my computer anymore.

I did what I've always done in the past.. I Selected setup -> network -> then I was looking as everything is locked.

I've had this printer for ever and have moved several times with it. The instructions just stayed with me in my mind.

Please do this:

shut printer off

the uplug power cord from back of the printer

unplug the power cord from wall socket or strip

let it sit 5 minutes in this state

plug power cord into the printer

plug power cord to wall socket

if printer does not come on push start button.

The Error should now be gone. If not let me know.

I did and as I mentioned above, it is still locked.

Try this one:

1 - On the screen on the printer scroll and press set up. Scroll down and press preferences. Change your keyboard setting to AZERTY. (odd solution, but it worked)

2 - Then choose the option to "Reset to factory defaults."

3 - Run the Wireless Wizard and re-select the Router.

I'm running the wizard now. Yes. You did not tell me how to find "reset to factory defaults". It was not in the same area.
