First, avoid pulling the paper out from under the front cover if possible, as it may cause damage to the printer. Pull it from the back of the printer or paper tray.
Clear the loading tray if there is any paper in there and press RESUME. If there are multiple sheets, pull the paper out one sheet at a time, starting in the middle.
After you get the paper out, check for bits of paper inside the printer. If you need to use a flashlight and canned air, it's okay. Just get it clear.
If you have to pull it from the front....BE GENTLE.
Make sure the parts that are supposed to move can move freely and then try a test print. Let me know if that worked.
