I have a MX 850 printer. I have an error message ink tank

Customer Question

Hi I have a MX 850 printer. I have an error message ink tank not recognized, for the M C tanks. The other tanks light up, until I insert the last 2 tanks. I've attempted to replace them, and I've turned off the printer, but to no avail.
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact make and model of your machine?
Customer: PIXMA MX850 all in one
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Replace the M & C tanks, turned off th printer for 20 minutes, and attempted to clean the carriage with a q tip
JA: The printer expert can solve this for you. Anything else you want him to know before I connect you two?
Customer: That's it

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble.

Are you using genuine canon inks, or generic/refilled cartridges?
