Welcome to Justanswer.com, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to assist you.
To get started, I need to know what type of computer you are using, a Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 or a Mac.If its a Mac, please check the OSX version as follows, Click the apple sign at the top left of your screen, then click about this mac. And then where it says version, send that to me as a reply.
If you arent sure what version of windows you have, it may be best if I connect to your computer from here. So that I can get your printer connected and working for you, on screen in person.
I will send that offer now once its been clicked and accepted we can continue.
I work on computers as well.
When the computer attempts to power on, exactly what do you see?
Is it a laptop, or a desktop computer?
Lets try unplugging it from power.
Holding down the power key for 30 seconds.. Plugging it back in and trying to turn it back on..
Any change? Does it attempt to power on at all, the fans run, lights blink, anything?
Thats a good sign.
Question, are we certain that your display is properly connected?
Can you try disconnecting it and reconnecting it? Also, if your monitor has the capability to select input.. Lets make sure that the monitor is on the correct input.
So the monitor is working on another computer?
Question, your desktop.. Do you know if you have a video card installed? Or, doe sit just use built on or onboard video?
It sounds like you had an update to your video card drive, or to windows.. Something knocked out your video card drive.
Question, if you rapidly tap the F8 key when you first press power to start the computer.. Will it take you to a m enu?
Im not sure where to go from here. Before the computer stopped working, all id asked you was the version of windows you had installed.
It seems like something corrupted or broke your display driver or video card. Without the screen working, we cant easily reinstall or repair windows.
You may have to take the computer into a shop and have them pull the drive and format it, and then reinstall windows.
