Welcome to Justanswer.com, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to assist you.

What we need to do is clear the fax memory, and then turn off memory receive.. This will solve the issue.

Heres how to accomplish those two tasks.

How to delete all faxes in the list ( For Fax Preview )

  1. Press Fax Preview and choose More (For Touchscreen models) => Delete All.
  2. If you press 1 or Yes (For Touchscreen models) , faxes in the memory will be erased.

Turning off Memory Receive operations

  1. Press Menu and choose Fax => Setup Receive => Memory Receive => Off.
  2. If received faxes remain in your machine's memory when you change the Memory Receive Operations, the LCD will ask you one of the following questions:

    Print All Fax?

    Erase All Fax?

Did you try pressing more and deleting all data anyways?

And did you also try turning off memory receive?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
a : not awaable b: i turned the memory receive off
Expert:  Dustin replied 7 months ago.

All right.. turn the printer off, unplug it.. Plug it back in.

And then lets see if the machine can receive faxes.. now that memory receive is off, you should be good to go.

i did.......its ringing.....the display shows : Receiving ... than it shows : disruption/ time out

Since the memory clear steps didnt work.. Then heres what we need to do..

As stated in the advanced users guide,

During a power failure the machine will

retain messages that are in the memory

for approximately 24 hours

So we need to completely uplug the machine for greater then 24 hours.. And that will clear ist memory.

this is a joke ??????
Expert:  Dustin replied 7 months ago.

You and I tried to clear the machines memory.

You said it wouldnt clear. So no, this isnt a joke. The hardware is made so that the memory will clear and zero out if its unplugged for over 24 hours.

Or, you could try clearing the memory again ( which isnt working )

The solution I have given you is solid. And will work.

Hi, I never heard back from you.. Did leaving the machine unplugged for over 24 hours help clear the machines memory out?
