I have a new Canon pro 9000, just installed the print head

Customer Question

I have a new Canon pro 9000, just installed the print head and new inks, but i'm getting 4 orange flashes and an error code 5C00
JA: Has your Canon done this before? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: I actually found it new in a thrift shop, print head and inks were still in plastic
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Printer Technician should know?
Customer: I dont think so
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Printer Technician about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello and thanks for using JustAnswer.

Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable.
Open the printer cover.
Check for any orange protective tape/ white polystyrene in the cartridges and remove if necessary
Check that there are no foreign objects in the printer such as a paper clip etc.
Replace everything back and turn ON.

Tell me how it goes!

That didn't work, what should I try next?
Expert:  Md. Sadique replied 4 months ago.

I am afraid to say it verifies the printer is defective, specifically the purge drive system unit or the logic board. These cost of these parts might exceed the cost of a Replacement printer.
