I have a paper jam in the printer and I pulled the top half of the paper off but can't find the bottom part

Customer: I got a paper jam in my Epson NX510. I was able to pull out the top part of the paper which hadn't gone through yet but I can find the bottom half. Can't get paper to run the printer at all.

Customer: I did follow the directions listed re: opening the scanner but didn't see any paper

Do you see the bottom half of your page in there under the carriage assembly? If not, is there a rear door on your printer?

No door. There is a small compartment in the back about the size of a battery holder but it won't open.

Can you remove the paper tray where you load the blank paper?

No. It does not come off. However, I looked in that area with a flashlight and could see no paper

I know it is difficult to see, but the paper must be stuck way in the back. You can probe for it with a wooden or plastic chopstick, and use a brighter flashlight. There are only a limited number of ways to access the paper path, so you just have to ty harder. If you still cannot find the paper, you will have to disassemble part of the chassis.
