Can you tell me a bit more about the problem please:1) Is this a dedicated fax line, or a shared voice/fax line?2) Is this a landline from the local phone/cable company, or a VOIP service (vonage/magicjack/etc)3) Do you have dsl service on the same line?4) Are you able to receive a fax successfully?
Well my bigger concern here isn't that you are doing anything wrong, in fact you are probably doing everything right if you got as far as you have. I would suspect this is a line or connection issue.
Do you get any type of error message at all?
Do you ever hear it dialing? Ringing? Fax tones?
Can you ask someone to try sending you a fax? (if it doesn't pick up automatically, press the start/ok button on the front panel of the printer to initiate manual receive)
