Sorry for any delay in getting back to you on this!
To fix this problem, try removing the ink cartridges and clean the gold contact area on them, and also clean the gold contact area on the print head itself - you can use a soft cloth lightly soaked in alcohol solution for this.
If that doesn't work, then the cartridges may be defective - try installing new, genuine Lexmark cartridges.

If the printer is giving you an error message I would need to know exactly what the message is, or what lights are flashing, etc.
