I have a WF-2530 all-in-one and just replaced the black ink

Customer Question

I have a WF-2530 all-in-one and just replaced the black ink cartridge with a new one I purchased from Epson. I'm getting a message that says the ink cartridge is not recognizable. How do I fix this??

Can you tell me what happens, when you re insert the old cartridge ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It works, but the cartridge is almost empty and the print quality if poor.

Thanks, ***** ***** is very helpful. The problem you are facing is caused due to defective cartridge and as the cartridge is brand new and it has a manufacturing defect, probably the chip on the cartridges seems to be defective. You can replace it free of cost from Epson. Unfortunatly, there is no way to repair a defective cartridge.

How do I get a replacement cartridge?
Expert:  Sowrav D. replied 1 year ago.

You have to call Epson, if you have bought the cartridge online and tell them the whole situation. They will help you to get the replacement.
