Printer is turned on, command to Print acknowledged on computer screen but no printing occurs. Have restarrted the printer and cleared the pending documents by accessing the document queue. Pls advise

Does the printer ignore the command entirely? Or does it try to print but outputs a blank page?
If you make a photocopy from the glass, does that work?

Ignored command though on 1-2 occasions turned on but did not print anything.
Tried to make photocopy, printer turned on but did not print, only ejected a blank page
