I have a hp officejet pro 8600. I inserted a new cartridge and it is saying it cannot detect the printer head. This is the first time I replaced the cartridge

Please follow the below steps

please take out the print cartridge

unplug the power cord

clean the golden contacts of the cartridge and printhead with a cotton swab and little alcohol. ensure you have removed the packing tape from the cartrdiges..

wait for 2-3 minutes

plug the power cord back in

turn the unit on and reinsert the cartridges

check for functionality
