I m trying to cancel a print document and it is not doing

I m trying to cancel a print document and it is not doing it. The message says 77% complete but that is as far as the printer is going. I tried shutting off the printer, disconnecting and reconnecting it and shutting down my computer to no avail. I cannot print anything as long as this document is still in the printer. Please help,
