I'm sorry about the issue. Is this a new printer/scanner? Or new computer, etc.?
Did you install the printer's CD disk? Or did you download from the Canon website?
Is the printer connected to the computer with a USB cable? Or is the connection wireless?
What's your Mac OS X version, i.e., 10.6, 10.7, 10.8, 10.9, 10.10, etc.?
