I have installed an MX726 but I cannot get the scanner to operate. I think the driver is installed? A message says "the scanner is turned off/ the USB is disconnected". However I am able to print material from my IMac, which suggests the cable to the router
is working. Where do I start?

Hi,

I'm sorry about the issue. Is this a new printer/scanner? Or new computer, etc.?

Did you install the printer's CD disk? Or did you download from the Canon website?

Is the printer connected to the computer with a USB cable? Or is the connection wireless?

What's your Mac OS X version, i.e., 10.6, 10.7, 10.8, 10.9, 10.10, etc.?
