I have a new Canon F166400. My MacBook Pro cannot see it on

Customer Question

I have a new Canon F166400. My MacBook Pro cannot see it on my network; I'm uncertain what drivers to download and why the printer isn't visible over my wifi.
I don't have the specific cable I need to run directly to the printer and my computer.

Hi,

I'm sorry about the issue. Can you please check the label(s) on the Canon printer F166400 for any other model?

What is the model of your Internet/wireless modem/router device?

What's your Mac OS X version, i.e., 10.6, 10.7, 10.8, etc.?

Please reply at the box below. Thank you.

sorry, it's an imageCLASS LBP6030w. At least that's the only other thing besides the manufacturing date and the serial number.
I am running Yosemite 10.10.5
My router is a Netgear N900/CG4500BD.

Thank you. Have you downloaded / installed the "[Mac] UFRII LT Printer Driver Ver.1.3.1", and the "[Mac] MF/LBP Network Setup Tool Ver.2.20" at the Canon website below yet:

http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/printers_multifunction/laser_printers/imageclass_lbp6030w#DriversAndSoftware

, then open the Network Setup Tool in order to set up the printer.

Please reply at the box below to continue troubleshooting. Thank you.

Nope, still won't connect without the right USB cable, which I don't have.

I'm sorry. What is the brand/model of your Internet/wireless modem/router device?

Can you please check if there is a WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button on your modem/router?

What happens when you run the application MF/LBP Network Setup Tool?

When you are available, please reply at the box below to continue troubleshooting. Thank you.
