Do you have windows xp, vista, or 7, or 8?
What's the error or message when opening it?
How about clicking on Start->All programs->Brother->DCP-7065DN->ControlCenter?

Please try the following:
1. If you have a printer's USB cable connected from the printer to the computer, then please disconnect that USB cable from the computer for now.
2. Go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features (or Control Pane\Add/remove programs), and uninstall the Brother program there
3. Restart the computer.
4. Click on the Brother website below:
, then click on "Search" near the bottom
, then download / reinstall the full driver / software there
, then check scanning.
